Charming Vietnam afresh with new breath of the sea The event attracted leading Vietnamese singers and models from within the country and abroad. Stage director Nguyen Quang Dung brought to the 22nd annual event a special character by focusing the content exclusively on the sea. Overseas singers Elvis Phuong, Huong Lan and those living in the country, Thanh Lam, Cam Van, Hong Nhung, Ha Anh Tuan, Le Quyen and Kasim Hoang Vu, all performed songs about the sea. In particular, singer My Linh and her daughter My Anh reminded audiences of flood victims in the central coastal areas in late 2009 with a song themed “Storm” which she composed herself. A fashion show was held with a collection of swimsuits decorated with images of the sea. The collection was designed by Thuan Viet and Lien Huong. Eric Vincent will perform at L’Espace – the French Cultural Centre, (24 Trang Tien, Hanoi) at 8pm on March 24, and at IDECAF (28 Le Thanh Ton, HCM City) at the same time on March 29. PV |
